looking back on the one week break, i found out that i haven't done anything other than fencing related stuff... Friday, we had a J2 fencing camp with guest visit by our seniors... damn long day... 8am to 8pm and dinner after than in town...
14th march
J2 fencing camp... ya... non stop fencing from dawn till dusk... not really... i woke up at 0600 and got ready to go the school... left home at 0700 and got to school at 0740... the 132 came faster than i thought... wait outside the fencing room till 0815 for Kain and the girls to arrive and open the door...
i waited till 0900 or around that time before i had the mood to fence... i started fencing with Jessica, than Clarabelle, Novielene, Sam and Kain... all were 15 point matches... IN A ROW... hahaha... i was damn tired after that... and it wasn't even lunch time yet... soon we went down for "breakfast" at 1100 and sat down and rest awhile before going back up to the fencing room to fence again...
some seniors came down and we had a hell of fun fencing each other... soon we were all hungry and the girls ordered Macs... damn if i had known that the canteen was closed than i would have ordered with them... but... i was my own fault to be too concern about money matters...haha... in the end i just walked backed to the coffee shop downhill from BHSS to have some food before walking back...
if memory serves me right, i fenced Joseph, Kai wen and master today... i loss every one of the matches but hack... it was damn fun fencing with them... one learns so many new things from it... also, we were treated to the full range of tricks, marry making and fun from the seniors from their fencing...
we went for dinner in town after the whole event at 2000... when we got there, we wanted to go to food republic, but no sits there.... so change plans, to go some noodle place with overly priced food... soon, the J2s decided to walk to some food court near DB to the dinner... it was quite a long walk, and we had to carry all our gear along with us... but when we got there, the sight of a near empty food court was damn nice... we hurried to placed our bags down and get some food... most of us got Korean food that was damn filling for $6.50... Jason and i helped clear the leftovers from the girls who could finish their meals... we talked till 2200 when the seniors wanted to meet up at Starbucks and slip little cups of coffee... Jessica, Novielene, Kain and i went home rather than join the seniors cause we were damn tired... we walked to some bus stop and waited for our bus... i went home with Novielene again on 167... today, i did walk her up the path and saw her off near my house there...
i spent the remaining time of today saving all 91 of Jessica's pictures from the Malaysia trip... waiting for Kai wen to send me his and i can burn the whole lot into disc and pass to the girls...
now for the malaysia trip day 3
9th march
I set my alarm to go off at 0550 in the morning so we got an early start today... QY and i freshen up for the day and went down for breakfast... we were rather early today... breakfast started at 0630, we were down there at 0615... And, we were the only CJ people there until Morgan came down at 0645... Also to note, we were told to meet in the lobby with all our gear at 0715... Kai, kai wen, Bjorn, Jason and kain came down at 0700... Wow...
When we reached the hall, there wasn’t many people there yet and we were still rather tired... some rays of confident came from Bjoen with him announcing that we will win this because we have THE POWER [GGG references] and Bjoen [beyond]... that did lighted the mood for me... but the thought of fencing people who are god knows how many levels above you is damn bad...
My competition starts at 0900 and i suited up and got ready to fence by then... i was to fence in poll 1, right at the end of the hall... let me break down the people in my poll... there is the top Malaysian fencer, a nat HK fencer, the one who beat the HK fencer, the left hander, and noob and me... looking at the competition, i only had chance to beat the left hander or the noob... i did beat the noob... and loss to everyone else... but my matches against everyone else were small losses... 4/5, 3/5... but a must say, the matches were all fun...very fun... i still remember the screams of anger from the Malaysian fencer when i doubled him 3 times...haha... evil me...
Jason and Kain did better than me, 4 wins to 1 loss... kai and kai wen scored about the same as me... soon all our matches are over and we rested and waited for the results... i went to watch the sabre guys fence... QY did quite well for a guy who hasn’t fence for 2 months; he still managed to scores quite well in his poll...
The results were out at 1200 and i was ranked no 49... haiz... not a very good score... the guy i had to fence next is some bugger from i forgot where with nat fencer training... when i fenced him, the scores were going from a led back to a draw and back to a lead to a draw again... this lasted till the final min where he had a 2 point lead over me... at that point in time, i knew that i cannot catch up within a min and just decided to have fun and play around with him... at the start of the match, i charged right at him trying a move that Calvin taught me and worked on him before... haha... in my joking mood... i was having quite a lot of fun charging in at him like that but i still didn’t score any point or loss any... the final score was 10/8 to him...
Like me, the rest of the CJ fencers all got knocked out in their first DE matches... the only one left is kai who fought on till the top 16 where he faced the top Malaysian fencer who was in my poll... haiz... he loss but we had a damn fun time there... a lot of experience gained...
We planned to go out after the competition... meet in the lobby of the hotel at 1830 [i think] after we all bathe and freshen up... QY couldn’t follow us because his ankle problem caused him not to be able to walk around too much... we met in the lobby at 1830 and went off to some area filled with food stalls to have our dinner... it was a damn good dinner with fry ray, snails, prawns and clams... somehow my intake of food increased so much that i was cleaning up the plates of its leftovers... the rains came and hindered our plans to go china town... in the end we decided to go time square to do a little shopping... we walked to the huge shopping centre and reached the place at 2130... The centre closes at 2200... haha... 30mins of shopping... since i have nothing in mind to get, i just followed the girls around and “guarded” them from any danger that Malaysia may pose...we met up back at the star bucks at the main entrance and walked back to the hotel... we still didn’t want to sleep yet and so we went to a waffle shop and had waffles... Bjorn and 1 shared a double chocolate ice-cream waffle [hack how it will hurt my throat] we finished our waffle and waited for the girls to finish theirs... in the end, they could not do so and Bjorn and i had to eat their leftovers... after that, we returned to the hotel and watched a movie...
We went to Jason’s room to watch the movie using QY’s laptop... we were watching this Korean movie about some wishing stairs thing... it was supposed to be a horror movie but i found in less than that... the girls were screaming during the movie which made it kinda funny... but the funniest was kai wen covering him eyes during the movie and Bjorn hiding behind Sam halfway in the movie... haha... it ended at 3am and we returned to our rooms to sleep and get ready for the following day of nothingness while we waited to go home at 1800... Before that, we were free to do anything...
