the bio lect today was not as fun as the last one
talking to rishi and nik more than the lect itself...
i know i watched too much anime when a lect on evolution makes me think of tengen toppa
i was thinking of these lines from the last ep
it goes like this

we are evolving more with every passing minute!
with one revolution, we move forward a bit!
that's a drill!
this drill rips holes through the universe.
that hole will become a path for those who follow us
the wishes of the defeated and the hopes of those who follow,
with those two thoughts, with 20 sprials weaved in, we'll carve a path to tomorrow!
that is tengen toppa!
that is gurren-lagann!
MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT PIERCES THE HEAVENS!

it makes no link to bio what so ever but it was going through my head throughout the lect....

Day 6

The day started at six in the morning when I had to wake up so that my bed does not take up space in the hall. It was still raining when I got up but the rain was not as heavy as the day before. I took this chance to run over to the mill with a friend to pack my bag and get ready to bring it to the hall and ready myself for the trip home. When I got to the mill, I the rain was rather small and we took our time to pack and fold our clothing. We even planned to have a morning shower as we did not bath the day before due to the rain. By the time we finished packing our bags, the skies opened up and poured down on the camp preventing us from getting our bags back to the hall.

I was stuck in the mill waiting for the rains to subside and thinking of what I will do when I get back and what I will do with my new found friends from the camp after we return to Singapore. All in all, I was stuck in the mill for an hour from 0630 to around 0730 waiting for the rains to let up. While I was waiting, my friend went into a deep sleep in front of me due to the three hour sleep we had earlier in the morning. When the rains did get smaller, I tried to wake my friend up but he was in such a deep sleep that I could not wake him up and I had to leave the mill without him.
In the hall, most of the girls gathered and were waiting for the guys stuck in the mill. I was told to return to the mill and wake everyone up and tell them that they were to gather their bags in the hall by 0830 and get their beds and sleeping bags ready for collection. I returned to the mill and woke up some of the people there before the rain did the job for me and it poured again. Again I have to wait till the rain grew smaller before I can run back to the hall with my bag. I knew that the window of chance will be small and so I readied my bag and waited for the rain to subside.

When the rain did get smaller, I ran with both my bags to the hall along with some of the guys and get got ready for breakfast. But there was none yet. We must have all the beds and sleeping bags accounted for before we can have breakfast. We spent the next 30 minutes searching the area for the missing few sleeping bags, they were left in the tents when we took our bags our yesterday. A few brave souls went out into the rain again to get the sleeping bags back and we stored the sleeping bags into the store room before going to have breakfast.

While we were consuming our breakfast, the farmers took the time to sell some rice and dragon-fruit to us to bring back to our families. I brought a kilogram of brown rice back for my grandfather to eat for he loves brown rice. With that done, I went to have my breakfast which was rice with some fried meat.

We had to unpitch our tents after breakfast and we went into the rain to take down our sleeping area for four days. What we found in our tents were swarms of insects hidden in every corner. If we could do active catching on that day, we would have filled half of the vials we brought to the camp. Under the tents are crawling bugs and under the covers were ants and earwigs. Flies were flying around in the tent went we opened it and many more were everywhere. Being from the insect group, we were unshaken by the sight, but those for other groups were not the same.

When my tent was down and packed into its bag, we went to help some of the girls. We had to endure the constant screaming by the girls went they see anything crawling near them. While helping them role the tent and packing it in the bag, we also helped them get rid of the bugs crawling around. This shows us that even if the bugs are so many times smaller than we are, we are still scared of them for an unknown reason.

After all tents were accounted for, we plan to take a group photo of all the members of the camp. We were separated by height and lined up in the hall. For once in my life, I felt normal as I was with the campers who were 180cm or taller and everyone around me are around my height. We were arranged in front of the camera and I was standing on the side in the 3rd row. Behind me are those shorter ones who are standing on benches and the tables. We were betting whether the table will be able to take the weight of the girls standing on it and what the reaction will be if the table breaks. The guy next to me claims that when the sound of the wood snapping ends, the girls will all scream together and everyone will look back and curse in shock. It so happens that the wood under the tables snapped under the weight of the girls and as said, the girls screamed together and started to try and get off the table while everyone in front turned back and cursed laughed. Everything that was predicted came true, we were amazed but we knew that it was common human reaction that whatever happen, happened.

The table was changed and it broke again before we were able to take the group photo and get out of the way of the girls who were rushing to get off the table. It was till raining then and this caused the bus that was to pick us up to be very late. We spent the time taking group photos with old friends and those newly made to remember the six wonderful days that we spent in the farm. We took as many photos as we could as we knew that once we board the bus, we will not be meeting each other until we are back in Singapore which was six hours away.

When the bus finally came, we got our bags onto the bus and said our last farewells to the farm and left for Singapore. By this time, it was already 12 in the afternoon and we were off to lunch in a nearby town. The plan was the give us some time to shop in the area, but due to the delay by the rains, it was cancelled and the guides gave us some time to eat and wanted us back in the bus within an hour. Went we reached, I had lunch with friends and went to a nearby shop to stock up on sweets for the trip back home. I brought a tube of sweets and a small box of food to consume at home. Soon the one hour was up and we had to return to the bus and get ready for the bus ride home.

The bus ride home was the same as the one to the farm; boring and quiet. What broke the silence was the driver playing a movie for us to watch. It was a rather stupid story but many wonderful fighting parts. I was half asleep during the movie and went to sleep for about half an hour after the movie finished.

When we finally reached the Malaysia checkpoint, we got off and got through customs before returning to the bus. At the Singapore custom, I have learned my lesson with the electronic gates and went to the manual one instant and I got through much faster than those that went to the electronic gates.

The trip back to CJC was normal and I could not wait to go back home to have a good shower and sleep. All in all, this trip has taught me many things that I would have never learned in Singapore. I made new friends with the people that were just in the room next to me. The only wish for me is that I could someday return there and relive all the events that have happened throughout the past few days.
