hmm... going back to my non-bloging days
this whole week has been an interesting one. also, jan has comed to an end and its time to reflect on what i have done in the past month.
stupid day for me today... i dropped my phone at home to day and the screen cracked... therefore my phone is not semi useless...AHHHHH... and i liked that phone... had to use back my old phone from now on till i get a new one or a can get this one fixed... Y??? kami-sama... y are you doing this to me???
.jpg)
my poor phone....AHHHH
this week was eventful, had to climb into class another time this week cause of some girls keeping the key while staying in the canteen while the others are waiting outside class. this is a big problem from everyone in class... we are always trapped outside class, OR the class is not locked and whatever we have in there is at risk. everytime i see most of them waiting outside, i have the feeling to climb into class and get everyone's stuff for them. this is what i do whenever people are trapped outside class before a lesson after PE. i go in and get their shirts out for them to change or bath and get ready for the lesson ahead. how i wish the class comes up with a solution for this key problem... on the other hand...i'm getting quite good at climbing into class...haha...soon,no class on my level will be safe from me...hahaha
the chem test results are out...21/30... after i worked so F**KING hard the day before to get the concepts into my head. whats the point of mugging so much just to get these kind of results??? enter emo mode after that... watch me enter mugging mode soon..when night study starts...
haha...Dr.hui came to school for a talk today... Dr.hui is the docter i visit when i am sick[which is quite rare]... interesting talk about a good death...
it seems that there will be some intra/inter school flower sending thing for val day... sending a rose to Amy in SAJC...pri school friend that i strangly still sometimes keep in touch with. hope she likes it... for val day ah... maybe gonna give a rose to a girl... maybe... if i can get my hands on one... on a rose, not a girl...
been watching quite abit of anime these few days... the newer ones from the 1st wave of 2008... animes like, wolf and spice... sayonara zetsubou sensei season 2, shigofumi, minami-ke season 2 and PERSONA.
wolf and spice is an econs anime with some love in it...haha...interesting combo... shigofumi is bout letters from the dead to the living... nice to watch the reasons y people wanna die... like this one...
"i sometimes think that too: what will happen if i jump? we have those thoughts, its not that we want to die. but it does not necessarily mean we want to live. there wasn't a reason at all. just like taking a differernt touth home, i was just in the mood. so i jumped."
on a different note, i have been getting back into the PKM crazt abit these few days... i went to asign a PKM for everyone in class and search up this new thing call Moemon[pokemon+moe]
cause of anger issues with the class if i posted the list out here, to know what PKM i have signed each menber of the class... have to contect me... and i might explain to you y each menber has his/her very own PKM... but, Moemon different thing...can show...haha

enjoy... the first 151 PKM
time now is almost 11pm and i have a econs and math test tomorrow that i ahve not really studied for... GG... therefore i'm going there to get my head chopped off and fail...

i have locked my blog for the past few days due to someone attacking me and my friends... i hope this whole thing is over and i can blog again...
to those i have angered, i am very sorry about what happened this 2 weeks. my mind was not working right and i wanna say sorry to those who have read this blog and felt angry at me. gonna say sorry in person next week...haha
to those who are angered at my low standards of English, careless mistakes when typing and all the uber spelling mistakes... i am trying to improve everyday... you can ask me if you want English matters changed in any of the postings so i can improve my English as well as spare others of coughing blood and adding to the already bloody blog while reading it... thanks
quite a few things happened this past week... haha
24th jan...
got a chem test today on organic chem... i was easily going through the paper until the last question... damn... cannot do... after thinking a while, i can up with the answer. but after talking to my friends after the paper, i felt that my answers are wrong... haiz... cannot have high marks already...
went for my first project spheres trip today... grouped with Adam and Derek and we when from floor 8 to 6 of block 21... met this super friendly uncle who greeted us and talked to us about how the CJC people always visit them and how they were very happy that we took time off to visit them... due to the lack of old people in our floors that were willing to talk to us, we finished fast and went to the playground to talk and rest... we took 139 to TPY and i took 163 with rishi to go home
25th jan
LAST MASS PE... YES... how many more???... NO MORE
after the rather boring GP lect, we went for our last mass pe... same thing... 7 runs in under 12.40 mins... like the last one, i did not make it... BUT... i improved... i did not walk throughout the 7 rounds... i finished in 13mins... haiz... have to do extra rounds after PE... today is jumping and pull-up training... jumping no problem, pull-up...die... but i did finish 2 sets of 6 assisted pull-ups... so should not be that bad... if i keep this up, i CAN get a silver...haha
for the first time in the year, i went to the canteen after PE rather than going up to class... i wanted a drink before going up, but sit down with friends and talking made me lazy to walk up 5 floors back to the classroom. when i did walk all the way up, to my "surprised" the door is lock...wow... we were waiting outside till nik wanted to climb in again to get his stuff to bathe... i stopped him cause i know he can't do it[i tried before so i know] and climbed in [again] to get his stuff... soon, i became a servant, helping classmates get their clothing for them to change and get ready for chem tut later... kim came up after the bell rang and unlocked the door. i was so lucky that mr.tan did not come before kim.. if he did, he would have reported me to the office for breaking into [my own] class. i hope i don't have to do this again cause its very bad for me and the class... note... i was so damn lucky the classes facing my class were empty... if not ah...DIE
went to eat before studying with joash and nik before going for O2 facil interview. helping joash with anything he dunno for his organic chem tut... O2 interview was super bad... don't think i will make it in... haiz... first mistake.... waited outside the wrong room... when i finally got into the right room, the three interviewers asked super weird questions as if they were toying with me... eg. "if you were a underwear, what will you be and y?" i utterly cannot answer that question without them thinking wrongly about me... i even blushed in front of the three girls...WTH... if they asked me to do something like dance or something i don't mind but... this is a bit...haha they even asked me if i think i am handsome... my "no" was taken strongly by them... haiz...cannot make it already lah...
when back to BHSS after that... met up with Shawn, KH and CY... NCC training...HAHAHA. wtf man... shawn is like damn buff now lah... i'm a stick next to him...the sec 1s this year really small... like little kids like that... total 18 people joined NCC this year... not bad... best thing was PT with old friends and the part Bs and Cs... haha.. nothing compared to MASS PE at CJ... not really panting after PT...so yeah... so many good times spent with my friends in the 4 years we were in NCC... reliving the days where we suffered together and had no complains about it.
26th jan... today
woke up with a freaking sore leg...cause of the PE and PT yesterday... went for math tuition and brought the last book of 新暗行御史. damn sad lah...cause alot of the good guys die... blowed up in one way or another... main guy got his arms chopped off and died in the end too...
went for chanbara today and had alot for fun...going back this monday... means i gonna miss spheres visit... doing alot of footwork today... killing my dying legs....y calvin??? if my legs are aching tomorrow, get ready for sms spam Calvin... had a damn long chat after chanbara bout some lame jokes and poly courses and later to the surgery that Calvin had to go for cause of his tooth...
after so long of isolation, what a long post... haha

another week of school has flew by...
what an event full week, competition and school and competition tomorrow... day 5 has just went by i and have a feeling that i should change this way of going about life... i should just care for friends who care for me... treat others the way you want to be treated... i shall carry that out next week and see if it is a better solution to my problems...
i wanna take this chance to say sorry for all those i called f**ktards on monday... i was in rage and posted that... but i cannot help it if you wanna act like one and earn the name rightfully...
rishi got me the O2 facil form today... i was planning to get it after school but he got it for me before that... wanna thank him for that... i filled up the form after class with joash and handed it up to the S.C before training... went for lunch with joash after that and mug abit before training started... saw the coop people interviewing the J1s outside the lib... what kind of questions do you guys ask??...haha... mug abit more of hydrocarbons... have to know all the reactions before sunday or else i am dead...
mass pe today again... but today was not as tough as the other days... we only did one set of stuffs rather than 3... my run time was 9.50mins....which is an improvement from tuesday... haha...if this carries on... i might just get a silver for my 2.4
i was trapped outside class again after pe today... took a little rest before talking to nik while waiting for joash to come up and open the door. did some studying for hydrocarbons before the class came back from break and class started.
went for fencing training today... but no one told me that there is no training for J2s today and i brought my stuff for nothing...damn... anyway...when to train the J1s with sonia[hope her name is spelt right]... they to do 4 round around the track which i joined in and some fitness training that was really tough... it was fun to talk to the Jr and help them learn how to fence... i am not that good a fencer but i try my best to aid the new ones into this super fun sport.
when home with QY today... haven't talk to him for so long... he had to take a cab home and i was amazed at how the meter jumped and a trip from school to thomson plaza took $7...!!! wow
oh yes... Mr. tan jek suan tagged again...
i am amazed sir, you used slangs in this tag... anyway sir, i want to address some problems that you have brought up. firstly, i am blogging, this can be seen by the whole world, even my class. so you cannot say that i am not telling my feeling to my classmates. sir, i cannot become too intrapersonal because thats the way i am, its abit hard to change that. and concerning your worries about me going to break down, i assure you that i am far from breaking down at this point in time. i would say that i have became a happier person over the course of this week. and sir, i douth we have the same idea of what it means to be a man. my idea is that i am trying to be a gentleman of honor and duty and in those terms, i have not reached the level i feel that i can be called a gentleman yet, but i respect the honor of myself and those around me and i am trying hard to improve myself to reach my target, in that i feel that i can call myself a man. sir i hope you understand this and thank you for feeling worried about me, do tag again.
thats all for today i guess... tomorrow still have novices team event after my math tuition... haha... mental and physically all in one day...

day 4 of keeping to myself and i have made a wonderful discovery... i feel damn good. i dunno y but i haven't felt this good for a very long time... the year 2 curse has returned but i can't care less about it... not now at least...
i was watching the last ep of tengen toppa again and this few lines relate very nicly to what i am going through now... after some change in the words, this is what i have come up with
to stop devolution of my mind,
i have sealed myself in this withdrawn space!
my actions are the proof of my determination
you foolish beings conceited with false friendship.
tell me, do you have that determination?
do you have the resolve to do what i did,
and protect your mental wellbeing?!
None! you have nothing nothing nothing nothing...!
you have absolutely none!
without any determination,
without any resolution,
without anything!
you use your so called friendship for your own desires,
and in return,
you have become conceited with that very thing!
that is the limitation of false friendship!
that is why you have to be annihilated!
totally unrelated towards the end but a very nice speech
today was full of tuts... chem, bio, GP and math... the whiteboard is really dead and almost cannot be used already as it now takes alot of effort ot remove the ink that has dried on it. Mr.tan was given a small [about A4] size space to teach us during the chem tut. Mr.chan had to use the notice board in the back of the class as a black board during his lesson as now even the projector is not working. it was nice to go back to using the black board again... a little funny but a fun and interesting way to spent a otherwise boring lesson. the amazing thing is that Ms.yoong could rub off the ink during her lesson to make room for the math that needed to go on the whiteboard.

forgive the bad picture taking but this was my classroom during GP lesson... i took a fast picture before jia fu thought of the idea of taking a video of the lesson. oh nik and i found out that Mr.chan also watched the dick lee video when he said a phase and we caried on with the song. very funny... talking bout nik, today we were talking bout something when Mr.chan brought up something bout future jobs... it linked to me telling nik about the alien story and soon to star wars...the wonders of speech...
jagan didn't come today and i had the sit next to me free. i still respect him but not invading his space to such a large extent but it was much easier to get my stuff out of my bag when it is placed to the side of the table rather than under it. some took over his sit to place they stuff but it didn't make a difference to me if he was there or not.
went over to T30 to play 1 round of bridge before leaving for home and tuition. haven't had chem and bio tuition for so long that my knowledge of I.E has rotten away.
it seems that there was a war there just now because of the fake meng that did not have any balls to use his/her real name when he/she wanted to shoot ben. this caused a big misunderstanding between some people. lucky for me its over... to the fake meng, i care not if you are reading my blog or not, but next time you wanna tag, grow some balls and use your real name and own up to you own work.
thats all for today i guess... haha...
my life has taken a turn for the best and i thank god for all he has done to help me in this

no anime to watch tonight so i will take the time to post now...
classes ended at 2 today with an hour break before PE. nothng much happened today... just a very interesting discovery that those people are not as quiet as i thought they were. was trying to tranfers a picture i drawn during math lect onto white paper that i always bring along with all my treasured drawings. the drawing was of the back of a girl... was learning how to draw different hairstyle and i choiced this girl. couldn't concentrate in the classroom cause they playing cards while talking/shouting [earphones on so not sure] loudly. i went to ask rishi if i could use their tables for a while so i can tranfers the picture. in the end, tranfers fininshed already went to play bridge with them again. do ok i guess....until the last match where i had no choice but to 1. feed my oppentent or 2.drain my parter of his trumps.....damn sad game....but still won in the end...but after alot of scolding from them...
MASS PE again today and it was in the rain again.... again we had to run 2 rounds around school...today i had a new achiviment and that is to run finish the 2 rounds under 10 mins...i did it in 9.55 mins....haha....not very good but an improvement. lighting warning today during PE and we had to move into the shelter to carry on with PE. where i was located, the heavy rains came in and it was not any better than doing PE in the rain than in the shelters. soon there was a big puddle under me and i was doing me sit-ups and leg rises in that puddle....haha.... super cooling.
when for a NYAA talk after that. have to write a report about my whole NYAA experence that was other 9000 words. but my EAGLES reflections already 13.7k...so.... i am kinda done with NYAA... got my 70hours of CIP from spheres, got my 18 months worth of toy making for my skills and got my fencing for my sports..haha...finish already....
talk bout fencing...tomorrow got training....gonna train damn hard from now onwards so i can prove my worth in the upcoming competitions. my promise with derick is 3 15 point matchs every training and i am starting tomorrow.
was watching PERSONA ~trinity soul~ just now and all i can say is that its like rewatching kida only an even darker version cause the fighting in it is very evil like...haha. such a nice anime to wait for....so lookiong forward to it...
oh yeah....to mr tan jek suan who so kindly tagged
i would like to take up your offer but i would perfer to stay in 2T31. i have no idea why you would visit my blog but i wondering why you will demote yourself to talk to me via a tagbox and not in person when you want to offer me this. i would prefer to stay in T31 and watch how low it can sink. besides, i have never said anywhere in this blog that i wanted to join T30 or than T30 is better than T31...i have only stated that they were a more interesting group of people compared to the slient[spelling mistake in last post is now corrected] people in my class which has been proven that they are not so quiet after all.

wow....i'm posting almost everyday....
amazing....
anyway, today was an interesting day. had my share of good times and bad...
in the morning, i went to pass derek from T36 some DVDs with some anime in it and when off to the hall for an event involving the whole school....J2s and the new J1s.... when i got there, those people studying in the same room as me were not there and i waited from my friend until i got really bored and when to sit on in the 2T31 row... as i was the first one there, i was the front man. joash came soon after and we talked abit before he went to sit at the back of the still empty row. it took those people 5 more mins before they came and formed the row behind me... the event was to give thanks for 2007 and give blessings for 2008. nik went up to get some good achivement award... i was happy for him but felt very angry at myself for not doing well enough in my studies to get the award while some buggers from class who did worse then me in the 2007 EOY exams got the award. i was very pissed at that... but tonight nik scolded me and told me that if i was good in my studies, i do not need an award to prove that i am good, all i need to know is that I AM GOOD... i really wanna thank him for that cause it really helped me alot and i will now strive to work very hard to prove myself to myself.
today i had 3 lects...bio, math and chem... after break was bio and chem back to back. as i had some chem HW to do, i brought it down with me for break knowing that nik and i will be trapped outside our classroom during break cause everyone will be off eating later than us and on one is in the classroom. BUT today was different... nik and i left the classroom early like we always do and plan to return after we have eaten to grab our notes and go for lect. but when we returned to the class at 1145[break was 1100 to 1200], the class was locked it is always is. no one came up to unlock it and we are trapped outside our classroom without our notes for the following lect!!! it seems that the rest of those f**ktards have taken their notes and went down to eat without a thinking that there may be some people who did not follow their chain of thought and left their notes in class.... but without my notes, i can still copy down what was on the slides, but i can't...cause my eye sight suckz and i need specs to read what is on the slides clearly. BUT...my specs are also in class....therefore...i am so screwed for the next TWO lect!!! i got very angry at those f**ktards for robbing me of my ability to refer to something during lect and that means that i may be wasting 2 hours of studying and lose out to those people. i value what i learned very much and i also want to respect the teachers by bringing my notes and understanding the lect...that the way i am... but now i can't... lucky for me nik called hui min and got the key for me at 1155 and i rushed into class and just grabbed my bag and specs and went off to bio lect... what a bunch of f**ktards who care for themselves only... もーやだ、死んじゃえー
i lost my spec casing in bio lect today....damn angry with myself... got a new one from my mother...thank you mom....
after school today, those people wanted to clean the classroom. but if they only can care about themselves, than i am the same and care for myself. i ran off to T30 after school ended and played bridge with them....haha.... did better i guess.... went off to have lunch with the T30 guys after that at TPO's LJS. interesting group of people to hang out with.... strange thing is that i have now gone out with them more that with those people... haha...went home with rishi again on 163... walking in the rain abit to get to the bus stop...
today blogged quite alot...haha...interesting... time to sleep already
still have to face those f**ktards tomorrow...haiz

TODAY SUX AND ROCK AT THE SAME TIME....
today was the day for novices. i woke up at 6 in the morning to get myself ready to go to clementi by 9. i always wake up an hour early from the time i have to leave home if i have to go in the morning. woke up, have breakfast watch some anime before packing up and left home to take 138 to AMK mrt and take mrt to jourong east and change train to clementi. i though it will take me bout an hour and half at least to reach there....but in all only took me an hour.
go there slack off till 9 and put on my suit and get ready to fence in the round robins. BUT... my group is the last one... last one to start. so i went around watching the other cjc fencers fence. helped some of the guys abit but i think it wasn't usefull enough cause they all got kicked out.
my poule has 2 semi-pro fencers(i am one), one pro fencers and 3 weaker ones. my first match was againist the other semi-pro fencer... i was feeling damn lazy and cock up my first match........... lost 3-5 my next 3 matches are againist the weaker ones and i wanted to trash them to so i can get a good index...but sadly, i didn't do as well as i wanted and loss a few points to get the win. last match was againist the pro fencer... i lost 3-5 again. but at least i was 2nd place in my poule.[thanks fencer for pointing out my mistakes]
when the round robins results are out, i was ranked 24th with 3 wins and an index of +5. in the middle of the DE group. my first fight was againist the 41th fencer. i was hoping for a easy win but i got a win of 15-14 while was crap cause i know i can do so much better. but at least i won... as conpared to the under 17s competition last year, i lost in my first DE match. so that was my first achiviment for the day.
while waiting for my next match which was a tough one, i laid down with derick and talked about alot of thinks like evolution and disguesting things in the hot springs. i told him about the plates of earth moving on lava around the world and taught him hom evolution is carried out. he told me about how some worm thing living in hot springs can lay their eggs in your nose if you dive in the hot springs and cause infections and possible death. it was an hour of knowledge exchange between us as we somehow always have these kind of talks when we are talking. i told him that if a can win the next round, i will buy him a drink. and if i can win the one after that, i will buy him a KFC meal. with that, i went for my next match.
next up was to fence the 9th fencer. i got a nice win of 15-8 againist him and i felt very happy with myself to win another match and advance up to the top 16. i went to watch jason and kain fence and they both also made it into the top 16 with me. but i know that they will advance further than me because they are more skilled than me.
next up was this guy call alex who i was warned to be very good againist my type of fencing where i just stick out my hand and use my long range to score a point. he is taller than me and that took away my range advantage, and he locks my blade very well stopping me from attacking. in the end, i lost 10-15 to him. at least i put up a fight againist him.
i left after that match cursing at myself cause i made alot of stipid mistakes in that match. i went to have dinner with derick at Macs and wanted to get him that drink i promised. but he rejected my offer and we laughed it off and promised that we will return next year and go further. i went home via mrt and my mom fetched me at YCK mrt station.
today i did go further into the competition than the last one but i killed myself with all the stupid mistakes i made throughtout the whole event.
bit late now...think i will go sleep and get ready for school tomorrow.... and face that bunch of fucktarts again.... haiz...sad life...

today, i learned how to play bridge from ryan from 2T30. quite an interesting game but i'm still rather noob at it. pity my parter cause he has to do all the winning cause i can't really play well. nevermind...its my first day playing...so still can.
went for a GP lect today, the teacher was the best man....jokes all the way and he is overly interested in papua new guinea. most of the examples he site most from papua new guinea, how they still study under a tree and are technolgicly behind the world.
MASS PE AGAIN TODAY.....AHHHHHhhhh
2 rounds around school and 2 sets of 20 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, 20 jumping jacks, and other stuff. but today...NO RAIN....so sweating like a pig on the court. i am so freaking unfit....how to win on sunday??? after mass PE go back to class and sleep before finishing up chem pract. what i found out was that the girls who held the keys brought their money down with them and went for break after PE. this left the guys "trap" outside class if not for nik who went and get the key. how can the girls be like that and leave us outside??? who cares now..... let them rot in hell for all i care now. stayed in class the whole break cause i don't wanna walk all the way down 5 levels just to walk back up again.
went home with rishi today after playing cards in the 2T30 class till 3pm and interacting with the T30s a bit. T30 is some much more lifely than T31.... so much more fun. better than the bunch of slience buggers i share the classroom with. took 851 to AMK with rishi. wanted to gp toa payoh for lunch cause i didn't eat during break but none of them wanna go....haiz...walk out to the main road with rishi and took 851 from "my" busstop...on the way it was raining heavily and we hope that the rain stopped when we reached the busstop near home. the heavy rains reminded me of the EAGLES camp...haha.....miss the time spent there... lucky for me, when i got off 851, the rains stop already and i waited bout 10mins for 138 before going home and havung lunch at 4.
gonna miss the girls fence tomorrow cause i wanna go home after math tuition and do some HW and go for chanbara tomorrow. i feel that its better to train myself there than watch girls the fence, they stone while fencing making the match slow. jason and the guys are gonna kill me on sunday for that but i don't really care....i rather train before going for novices. hope all goes well on sunday and i get to at least to the semi-finals...haha....need alot of luck for that...ALOT...
not much anime to watch these few day.... finished kiba already than dunno what else to watch already....haha.....maybe i start on steel angel or something.... or go finish FFXII RW
so looking forward to the weekends where i can rest well....haha

mass PE yesterday.....
had to run 2 run around school before doing push ups, sit ups, back rise, jumping jacks and GST IN THE F***ING RAIN. it felt good to lay down and feel the rain drops falling on me. the rain did take the hest away from PE but it made our shirts heavy. try doing jumping jacks with a wet shirt jumping with you. GST was the worse... i was walking up the grandstand during the 3rd set cause i just can be bothered to run up anymore.
after the whole thing, i was completely wet. had a puddle one the floor when i took off my socks and dy them. lucky got school shirt and pants to change back into, if not i had to walk home in the wet condiction....sure get sick. and i cannot get sick now....not with novices this sunday.
was fencing today... got angry at randell as i heard he will be in the school team for the novices and i will be the backup only. my skills are better than him and they placed him in the team. strange. anyway... my place in the team will be determined by my performance in the novices this sunday...so i might still have hope of being in the team. anyway the team also still unconfirmed, so i still have more chance.
loss to kain and jason again today but i already know that they are better than me, so can really help but loss to them. just must try my best this sunday.
today i felt a change in my views towards the class. i feel that they are not worth talking to anymore, not even worth being with. if they wanna leave me out just because i hang around with nik shows me that they are a bunch of fools. the only reason why i sometimes wait outside the class door before going for lect i cause nik wants to wait for the class. not like i have anything againist that but if the class hates him, y have anything to do with them anymore??? still, he is my good friend and i respect what he does...so wait with him. i am interacting more with people of other classes more than those from my own class....strange. now my favorite sight is being able to set where the class does not sit in lects, i'm not even sitting with my class anymore in lects now. i feel like testing out a few stuff with this new event to mess around with my class more. haha
watched the last ep of kiba today... fighting all the way. and they killed off one of the main characters. i feel the ending abit short as they put in the last fight as well as the ending and the last boss all the the last ep. so abit rushed.
still have chem holiday HW to do during the weekends while i have no idea how to do...haha. i kinda like this feeling of having alot of work to do. got sense of achiving something in the end. kinda sick i know....haha
wa...bloged quite alot today...

yoz...
think i might keep this blog going for quite some time...haha
got my new time table today...
wa....most days 2pm end already....nice
the bio lect today was not as fun as the last one
talking to rishi and nik more than the lect itself...
i know i watched too much anime when a lect on evolution makes me think of tengen toppa
i was thinking of these lines from the last ep
it goes like this
we are evolving more with every passing minute!
with one revolution, we move forward a bit!
that's a drill!
this drill rips holes through the universe.

Day 6
The day started at six in the morning when I had to wake up so that my bed does not take up space in the hall. It was still raining when I got up but the rain was not as heavy as the day before. I took this chance to run over to the mill with a friend to pack my bag and get ready to bring it to the hall and ready myself for the trip home. When I got to the mill, I the rain was rather small and we took our time to pack and fold our clothing. We even planned to have a morning shower as we did not bath the day before due to the rain. By the time we finished packing our bags, the skies opened up and poured down on the camp preventing us from getting our bags back to the hall.
I was stuck in the mill waiting for the rains to subside and thinking of what I will do when I get back and what I will do with my new found friends from the camp after we return to Singapore. All in all, I was stuck in the mill for an hour from 0630 to around 0730 waiting for the rains to let up. While I was waiting, my friend went into a deep sleep in front of me due to the three hour sleep we had earlier in the morning. When the rains did get smaller, I tried to wake my friend up but he was in such a deep sleep that I could not wake him up and I had to leave the mill without him.
In the hall, most of the girls gathered and were waiting for the guys stuck in the mill. I was told to return to the mill and wake everyone up and tell them that they were to gather their bags in the hall by 0830 and get their beds and sleeping bags ready for collection. I returned to the mill and woke up some of the people there before the rain did the job for me and it poured again. Again I have to wait till the rain grew smaller before I can run back to the hall with my bag. I knew that the window of chance will be small and so I readied my bag and waited for the rain to subside.
When the rain did get smaller, I ran with both my bags to the hall along with some of the guys and get got ready for breakfast. But there was none yet. We must have all the beds and sleeping bags accounted for before we can have breakfast. We spent the next 30 minutes searching the area for the missing few sleeping bags, they were left in the tents when we took our bags our yesterday. A few brave souls went out into the rain again to get the sleeping bags back and we stored the sleeping bags into the store room before going to have breakfast.
While we were consuming our breakfast, the farmers took the time to sell some rice and dragon-fruit to us to bring back to our families. I brought a kilogram of brown rice back for my grandfather to eat for he loves brown rice. With that done, I went to have my breakfast which was rice with some fried meat.
We had to unpitch our tents after breakfast and we went into the rain to take down our sleeping area for four days. What we found in our tents were swarms of insects hidden in every corner. If we could do active catching on that day, we would have filled half of the vials we brought to the camp. Under the tents are crawling bugs and under the covers were ants and earwigs. Flies were flying around in the tent went we opened it and many more were everywhere. Being from the insect group, we were unshaken by the sight, but those for other groups were not the same.
When my tent was down and packed into its bag, we went to help some of the girls. We had to endure the constant screaming by the girls went they see anything crawling near them. While helping them role the tent and packing it in the bag, we also helped them get rid of the bugs crawling around. This shows us that even if the bugs are so many times smaller than we are, we are still scared of them for an unknown reason.
After all tents were accounted for, we plan to take a group photo of all the members of the camp. We were separated by height and lined up in the hall. For once in my life, I felt normal as I was with the campers who were 180cm or taller and everyone around me are around my height. We were arranged in front of the camera and I was standing on the side in the 3rd row. Behind me are those shorter ones who are standing on benches and the tables. We were betting whether the table will be able to take the weight of the girls standing on it and what the reaction will be if the table breaks. The guy next to me claims that when the sound of the wood snapping ends, the girls will all scream together and everyone will look back and curse in shock. It so happens that the wood under the tables snapped under the weight of the girls and as said, the girls screamed together and started to try and get off the table while everyone in front turned back and cursed laughed. Everything that was predicted came true, we were amazed but we knew that it was common human reaction that whatever happen, happened.
The table was changed and it broke again before we were able to take the group photo and get out of the way of the girls who were rushing to get off the table. It was till raining then and this caused the bus that was to pick us up to be very late. We spent the time taking group photos with old friends and those newly made to remember the six wonderful days that we spent in the farm. We took as many photos as we could as we knew that once we board the bus, we will not be meeting each other until we are back in Singapore which was six hours away.
When the bus finally came, we got our bags onto the bus and said our last farewells to the farm and left for Singapore. By this time, it was already 12 in the afternoon and we were off to lunch in a nearby town. The plan was the give us some time to shop in the area, but due to the delay by the rains, it was cancelled and the guides gave us some time to eat and wanted us back in the bus within an hour. Went we reached, I had lunch with friends and went to a nearby shop to stock up on sweets for the trip back home. I brought a tube of sweets and a small box of food to consume at home. Soon the one hour was up and we had to return to the bus and get ready for the bus ride home.
The bus ride home was the same as the one to the farm; boring and quiet. What broke the silence was the driver playing a movie for us to watch. It was a rather stupid story but many wonderful fighting parts. I was half asleep during the movie and went to sleep for about half an hour after the movie finished.
When we finally reached the Malaysia checkpoint, we got off and got through customs before returning to the bus. At the Singapore custom, I have learned my lesson with the electronic gates and went to the manual one instant and I got through much faster than those that went to the electronic gates.
The trip back to CJC was normal and I could not wait to go back home to have a good shower and sleep. All in all, this trip has taught me many things that I would have never learned in Singapore. I made new friends with the people that were just in the room next to me. The only wish for me is that I could someday return there and relive all the events that have happened throughout the past few days.

Day 5
The day started like any other day at the farm and we gathered in the hall at 0700 to start the day off. We were told that the morning run that day was cancelled to give the groups more time to get their presentations. My group grabbed some breakfast and carried on with the power point slides and the presentation. Soon it was 0900 and the presentation was to start. But, the sky does not allow us to have a nice day and it rained cats and dogs throughout the morning making it hard for whoever is presenting to talk over the sound of the rain. Also, all the clothing and shoes we placed outside our tents are soaked through and many had to go into the heavy rain to collect them back into the tents. My tent mate went into the rain and collected our clothing and shoes and placed them into our tent before coming back to the hall soaking wet.
The first up was me and I gave a thirty minute talk on the insects we have caught in relation to where we caught them as well as what are their roles in the environment. Along with the talk, I also handed out some of the insect we caught to the people to give them a hands on experience with the insects and let them come close to the insects we have been working four days with and for. There was also bringing the rhino beetle out of its container and letting everyone have a chance to feel how it is like and also to let them interact with insects without a barrier in between.
My presentation went well as I felt that the people I was talking to were quite entertained at my presentation. Next was my group mate’s turn to present as I stayed behind to help him if he losses track of anything. The other group mates who were not presenting went to visit the other group’s presentation and see what they have done in the past four days.
After my group mate’s presentation was over, it was my turn again as the other members were caught in the rain and could not make it back in time to do the presentation.
This went on another 2 more times before we told the whole camp about the insects we could find in the farm area and their effect on the crops and vegetables in the farm. We also touched on some pest control methods that were organic to help the farmers keep the pests in check.
After all this is done and over with, my work for the whole camp is now over and I can finally rest. Lunch followed and we ate well and readied ourselves to visit the other group’s presentation in the afternoon. But the skies do not allow us to do that as it pours harder onto the camp and there was a real risk of flooding. We were told to bring our bags into a room behind the hall to keep them from being washed off if a flooding occurs. The girls were to go first followed by the guys. We worked fast and soon all the guys had their belongings in the room and some were helping the girls in bringing their belongings into the room.
The afternoon was wetter than the morning as the floor of the floor was wet and this made the power sockets we use for the laptops dangerous as there is a risk of shocking someone. Everyone is somehow trapped in the hall and cookhouse area due to the heavy rains and lighting risk. All the remaining groups presentation were held in the hall and cookhouse and it was quite cramp as the hall had to hold six groups and cookhouse had to hold four groups and all the people watching the presentation. I learned that some the other groups had problems like being trapped in mud, for the soil group, or lost in translation, for the people groups, and also equipment problems for many of the groups.
We learned about how the soil in the farm is suited to growing crops as well as how the soil losses its minerals over time. Also how the lives of the farmers and Malay people are like and what they do for a living as well as what their cultures are like. We also got a rare chance to see pictures of the marriage of a Malay couple the group went to on the fourth day. I also got to see the fruits of my labor when I went to help the surveying group to map out the farm as they complied all their readings and came up with a map of half the farm. The birds group showed us pictures of the birds they have taken as well as the way to tell birds of the area apart from each other. The temperature group was the best as they gave us a full review of their whole camp experience along with their data telling us the temperature of the farm changes greatly while the temperature of the forest changes very little.
It was interesting to hear the same camp that I went through but from the views of another person and hearing his thoughts on some of the events that happen during the camp. We got to know why we saw the soil people covered in mud on the 2nd day. They were trapped in a mud pool while collection samples and thus were covered in mud. We also got to know why the temperature boys were collecting their thermometer so later in the 3rd night. It was because they were caught in the evening water activities and were later punished for using the bicycles without permission, causing them to leave their thermometer in the paddy fields until night time and thus went to get it with us while we went to set the light trap.
After all the presentations are over, all the groups are free to do whatever they want as the leaders had a meeting to wrap up the day’s events. We were told to have a performances ready for the campfire that night but as it was still raining, many thought that it was cancelled. We took a long break and watched as the water level in the pond we were playing in just yesterday rose close to breaking its bank and we feared for a real flood may occur. But lucky, the rains reduced its might and the water levels stop rising and saved us from the flood. But as the rains might return at night and flood the area, we were given new sleeping areas so that we are safe from the flood if it did occur. The girls were to sleep in the rooms we placed our bags as there were beds there for the girls to sleep in. the boys were to sleep in the mill on foldable beds like those from mawai.
There was room for three boys to sleep on real beds and as the person in charge of assigning the three boy’s sleeping areas knew me, I was told to sleep in the bed. I rejected the offer but she insisted that I go. I made it clear that I did not want to sleep on that bed but she thought that I was stupid and wanted to sleep on a foldable bed rather than a comfortable bed. For me, I prefer to sleep on the foldable beds as compared to real beds as the real beds are sometimes dusty and dirty. This made me think, would you rather give up the risk of sleeping on something that no one has slept on for an unknown period of time just to have a soft mat under you? I have done slept on a dusty bed before and I fell sick the following day, therefore I rather sleep on the foldable bed that night and save me from feeling unwell the next day. For her, who has most likely lived in bliss her whole life and slept on nothing but high grade beds, sleeping on the floor for the past few days must be terrible and this is a nice change for her. But she must know that not everyone feels that way, and this is common in almost everyone, feeling that everyone thinks like oneself.
With that, we must move our bags out of the rooms for the girls to move their bags back into the room and make the bed. We formed a human chain and brought the bags out quickly. As the rain was smaller at the point in time, we quickly ran and placed our bags in our assigned areas and took what we need and returned to the hall to get ready for what might happen next.
What followed was dinner and some time to plan out what we were going to do for the campfire night later but without a campfire due to the rain. Therefore, we placed benches in the hall to form a little stage to have our performances. As the two insect groups have been working together even before the camp started to help get tools and materials for the traps, we decided to join forces and come up with a bigger performances together. The members of the birds group were from my class and so we again joined forces and formed a three group performances to bring up to stage later. The problem with having so many people is that some of them will be doing nothing while the others entertain the masses. We tried to even out the load to make it fair for everyone performing.
The idea we came up with was the act out some of the more famous advertisements we saw on the television. And to start the whole performance off, my friend and I will act out a play we watched to buy some time for the others to prepare for the advertisements they are acting out. The ones we came up with as the mocca advertisement about a bodybuilder selling him house while is very popular with the people. Also the M1 advisements about calling a cookhouse in Indian from Singapore and buying food. The last one is the credit card advisements about buying birds. With that, we went to the campfire and watch what the other groups had to offer.
The first group up did a little song and acted out the words into action into a mini musical video. It was rather entertaining but it lacked something that made it a memberible performance. The next group did the same act but with a different song. It also lacked that something that made it wonderful.
The next group remixed the song “the 12 days of x’mas” into the “6 days of EAGLES” and replaced some of the words to fit the camp’s theme. To add in some fun, they threw some brown rice into the air when they sang,”5 bags of rice” and acted out some of the lines to make the whole song funny and enjoyable.
The next group up was another mass joined group like our own and their performance had four parts in it with some involved those watching to join in the dance and songs. I feel that this is a great idea and it set a bench mark for my group, which was the last to perform, to make our performance as good as theirs.
For my group, I somehow became the next in power went our leaders left to have a meeting with the teacher in charge. I planned out what advertisements came when and what props are to be used and what to do in between each act. It was soon time for my group to go on stage and perform and I lead the way and went on first to tell those watching what will be happening through the performance.
First thing was the play by my friend and I which was to buy some time for the others to prepare whatever props they have. The play was set in a lecture hall and it was a lecture on the sheakspear plays in general. It was copied from a video I saw on YouTube, I felt that it was quite funny and I felt that many will think that way as well. Therefore, my friend asked if I could do the talking part and guide him in the acting and entertain the watchers. I agreed to do so as I have also wanted to act thing out for a long time and this is the perfect chance. It did its job and so much more, everyone laughed at the play and enjoyed it which brought joy to both my friend and I to be able to perform something that everyone liked.
What we planned after my play was the first advisement which was the mocca advisement that almost everyone in the camp watched before and agreed that it is a big joke. That is why we decided to use it as it can make a big impact on the watchers. In the real thing, there was a bodybuilder selling his house using many different bodybuilding poses. We decided to do the same only with three people acting rather than just one. To make them look like they have a big build, I asked them to put on life vests to give them a big chest look. They came on stage in their life vests and said the first line that made everyone break into laughter as they all knew what it was. The crowd broke into laughter after every line and action made by the three actors and this made our whole performance even better.
The next advisement is one from the telecommunication company M1 about how now one can call overseas with any extra charge. It shows an Indian man in a cookhouse picking up a call from Singapore and taking the person’s order later to find out that his caller is from another country. We had an Indian girl from the other insect group play the Indian man and our groups BPS boy to play the person calling. As the Indian man in the advisement had a strong Indian accent, the girl had to change the way she talks to match the man’s accent. Like the advisement before, this one is greatly talked about and is a joke to many. When they went up to act, as soon as she started taking orders, the crowd burst into laughter again. It was another successful part of the play as everyone was talking about it even after the actors left the stage.
The next and last advisement is an old one about a little girl buying birds for her brother who is going on a journey. But she only had enough money for one bird when she wanted to buy five. The old man came in with a credit card and brought all the birds and went to help the little girl in wishing her brother good luck for his journey. We of course could now find so many birds to release and so we decided to let everyone think that there are birds there. We had a short little girl from the other insect group to act as the little girl buying birds and others a play the old man and the bird seller. Sadly, this one was not as great as the last two and did not get much laughter from the crowd but I felt that the actors did a good job.
That was the end of the group performance and next up was the games section lead by the two MCs for the campfire. The first game was a guessing game where we have to guess what an actor was acting out. The first victim was chosen and given the word he must act out. At first we all through it were just a word, but it proved other wised when in the end, it was a sentence. This made the game much harder and with the risk of a punishment for the person who could not get the message across and failed to act out whatever sentence he or she was given. The next victim failed in his efforts to act out a long chain of words which make no sense at all. The person who threw up all these was the female MC that night and the camp was rather angry at her for coming up with these challenges which cannot be completed within the given amount of time. After the 2nd victim failed in his attempt, she let him off the punishment planned and promised that the next person with get that punishment no matter what.
At this, the next victim was chosen to be from my performing group and as the female MC was from our group for the camp, we wanted her to go and play the game as well. At first she protest and claim that she was not from the group. But due to the whole camp chanting her name, she had no choice but to go and have a taste of her own poison. As she by her that the next person with get the punishment no matter what, the whole camp gave her wrong answers to whatever she was acting out so that she will get the punishment. After the time is up, she was to undergo punishment. But she tried to worm her way out of it by saying that her whole group that it with her as part of one for all and all for one. But only to meet rejection by us as she said so herself that she said that she was not from our group. This is sadly very common everywhere, people do not want to do something and claim something just to claim something else when it takes a turn for the worse. She went through the punishment alone and protesting the whole way.
Next up was another game which needed a line of five people to pass a massage down and see what the original massage differ from the one that the end of the line. Two groups of five people were chosen by the female MC and the massages were made up by her. As by not the camp is somewhat going against her, the ten people she chosen changed the line she gave them into an insult to her. The games were cut short and went into singing to reduce the numbers of insults coming to her.
Singing is a classic campfire event and we all sang along to the master guitar player played the songs to sing. Songs will “country road” and “lemon tree” were sang as well as many more and we truly enjoyed ourselves singing beside close friends and new friends made during the camp. This was the time to reflect on what we have done over the last five days and what we will do together when school reopens. Singing along with some hot Milo and fried food was the best time I felt that I spent there and I was sure that many felt the same way as well.
That night we had no defined time to go to sleep and we could stay wake until the next morning if we could. To start the night off, I watched some shows on the laptop I brought to the camp with some of my friends. But, there was a blackout while I was watching and my laptop’s screen became the only light source and started attracting insects to it making watching anything very annoying. After I finished the one I was watching before the blackout, I turned my laptop off and kept it before returning to talk to my group mates.
The power was back on soon enough and I found my group mates eating and cooking instant noodles that we brought from Singapore and cooking it with the stove that the teachers asked to be packed in our bags. I got a cup noodle and waited for the water to boil. While that is happening, I was some people playing a game call O2 jam which is a keyboard game while needs the player to tap the keys to follow a chosen piece of music. The chosen music was a fast beat one and the player was pressing the keys so nicely in tune with the music and I was amazed at how fast the music was and how skilled the player was.
When my cup noodles were done, I set down to eat it while watching my friends sing “I have peace like a river” while doing the hand movements along with it. The girls could sing a do the movements very well but the boys could only concentrate on one thing and fall behind the girls sometime or are completely lost and watch in amazement at how the girls can multi-task. After finishing my cup noodles, I joined in with them and tried my best to learn the steps to the song. The first was to move my right hand from right to left and clapping and snapping my fingers in the end, that was for the “peace like a river” part. Next was to change the direction and got from left to right with my left hand while clapping and snapping my fingers in the end, this was for the “joy overflowing” part. Lastly, was to use both hands and go from my legs to the center to my head while capping and snapping my fingers in the end, this was for the “life everlasting” part. The worst part was to combine all three movements when the three verses of the song are sung together. When we tried it out, everyone could follow the “peace like a river” part, but after that, the boys slowly started dropping out leaving me and the three girls doing the hand movement and singing along. I could only do the hand movements perfectly but could not spare any more concentration to the singing part and remain silence throughout the song. Once we finished the “peace like a river”, “joy overflowing” and “life everlasting” part, the hardest section came in and that was to combine the three verses together with their hand movements. I could also follow this part until the fourth line where I just lost track and failed in completing the song at the very last line.
What follow the song was a game of truth and dare. We sat in a circle and spanned a bottle in the center and ask questions to whoever the bottle pointed to. Many interesting information came out of that game. What was fun was the dares that came out of the game. As a promised the group that if the bottle was to point to me, I will take any dares they could think of. It so happened that the bottle pointed to me and as promised, I ask for a dare. The was to say, “Will you marry me?” to one of the guides who was there with us for the camp. I walked up to him and said those words while kneeing down and entertained the group.
By this time, it was already two in the morning and some of them already went to bed. Some of the girls refused to sleep in the room on the beds as they also thought the same way I do and do not like to sleep on it as we do not know what slept there and when. I am also a little worried about sleeping in the mill and decided to move my bed into the hall and spend my night there. After I went to the mill and back with my foldable bed, I set up my bed next to those who were also sleeping there and went into the cookhouse to talk to my friends who were there watching movies and playing cards. I joined in the card playing and played till it was three in the morning. When they started to play a card game in which I have no idea how to play, I left them and when to my bed. Back on my bed, I talked to those around me and we reflected on what we have done that day and the four days before. It was half past three before I went to sleep and ended that very long day.

Day 4
The same classic music woke me up that morning and washed up to start a new day of insect catching. We went for the morning run around the paddy fields for our morning run. The run was going well until we did a turn into the path between two paddy fields. The path was overgrown with grass and touch-me-not plants that cut at our unprotected legs with their spiky stems. The grass was wet with morning dew and as filled with seeds that stick to shoes and socks. Walking in this path and those that followed was the same experience as they were also overgrown with grass and touch-me-not plants. Walking on the path made our socks wet in dew and covered in grass seeds. For those not wearing socks, their legs were covered in the marks of the touch-me-not’s spikes. After walking on that path for ten minutes, my shoes were soaked in dew as the dew from the grass brash onto my shoe and when into it. Walking with it, as well as soaked socks, I could feel the water being squeezed around the shoe and made my trip back very unpleasant. After we walked back to camp, I quickly took off the socks and shoes and hanged to my slippers to prevent my foot from rooting in that wet shoe and developing smelly feet.
During breakfast, the group decided to use that day to finish taking photos of the insects and photos of the places we caught the insects. We were approached by the survey group during breakfast to look for people who were free that day to help their group. As I did not have to take pictures that day, I joined the survey group and aided them in their quest to map the farm. Breakfast was followed by a quick shower to wash off everything I picked up during the walk.
Helping the survey group started with a briefing at their base area, which was inside the house area. We were told to use some formula to help reduce the time needed to take measurements of the farm. And we headed out with measuring tape, which was one hundred meters longs coiled up into a head held role, and a bearing device. We went around to the dragon-fruit plantation to take measurements of the plantation and the road leading to it. We had to hold the tape down at one point and pull it so that it reaches its mark or the hundredth meter, whichever came first and record down the bearings and length of distance travelled. This went on for the whole morning and we went round the plantation and took down the distance travelled before returning to camp with a bad sunburn on my neck.
Lunch was followed with labeling of the pictures taken by the group while I was gone. As I have a vast knowledge about insects and helped both insect groups indetifiy the insects we caught, I was assigned to label all of the photo taken. I sat in the cookhouse surrounded with insects to aid me in the identification of the photos and the insects. I was checking the book that we brought and my earlier research to place a name onto the insects we caught. Even with all these, there are some insects that I cannot place a name on because I have never seen it before, even on the mass media. I had to name a few “some beetle” and “some bug” to some of the insects. As I was naming the insects, my group leader was busy making the power point slides for the following day’s presentation on our findings and the insects we have caught.
The day went by quite fast as there was much to do in a short time period and we rushed the work. I helped out the photo taking after I have labeled all the insects they have taken in the morning. I got to see how the pictures were taken. The insect was first moved into a zip-lock bag and held flat beside two rulers to take the size of the insect into account. The insect is held in place by someone applying pressure onto the sides of the zip-lock bag and holding the insect down. A photo is quickly taken from the top before we flip the zip-lock bag over to take a photo of the underside of the insect. This went on for all the insects we caught until we have the a softcopy of the whole collection. The photo taking ended just in time for the evening activities to start and we packed up the insect filled area to get ready to get rifting.
We had to put on life vest again for this water activity and we were each equipped with along bamboo pole about two times my height to push ourselves forward while on the rife. The rife were ether a one man rife or a four man rife and we ether group up with three other to take the four man rife or go sole and take the one man rife. As I prefer the one man rife, I took off with my bamboo pole and got onto a rife. At first, the rife I got was a rocky one as the logs were not tied together tightly and was moving under my feet. Five minutes into my ride, my leg fell in between the logs and I fell into the water. At that point in time, my boat also turned over and I had to get under the boat to turn it back into the correct position.
After trying out how to move the rife around, I tried to move around the pond area to visit some of my friends. What followed was a chain of events that led to me trying to get everyone into the water. It started out when went into a four man rife filled with girls, one of the girls who could not swim started to scold me and I smiled and left them with the intention of pushing her into the water me. Soon, a few guys banded together to try and sink one of the four man rife and the girl filled one was the target with me leading the attack. We caught up with them and started our attack on their rife by splashing water onto the girls. Soon I got too close and the front of my rife went under their rife and it made their rife tilt away and this scared the girls. Soon I gave up the attack and when to have fun with the other four man rife which was filled with three guys and a girl. They saw my attack on the all girl rife and wanted to stop me by pushing my rife down with their poles. But my broken rife was amazingly slow sinking and it gave me time to balance myself and avoid falling into the water. I counterattack by jumping onto their rife and bouncing on it before returning to my own friendly rife.
This went on until there was a war to get everyone wet and in the water. The girl’s rife was the first target again as everyone tried to overturn the rife. I again jumped onto the rife and bounced a little before returning to my own rife and scared some girls off into the water. Soon, everyone, even me, were soaked through and were searching for people who were still dry to wet. One girl who was alone on the other side of the pond was still dry and was being hunted by everyone to get her into the water. I joined in the quest by due to the earlier events, I was tried and could not row was fast as I could and when I was half way to the girl, she has already jumped into the water herself to save herself from us. As I was unable to push her in, I carried on the chase until I was too worn out to push with the pole and jumped into the water and drag my rife towards her. By now, she was at the end of the pond, a fair distance from the shore, running away from me and I was walking in the water to reach her. After I finally reached her and she was ready to fight me off with her bamboo pole. But after all the jumping and walking in the water, I was very worn out and decided to be a gentleman and bring her back to shore by tying my rife to her rife and pull her back to the shore.
What followed was an hour of playing in the water and many group photos taken while we try to cram as many people as we could on a four man rife. A mini fighting match was held on the rife as two people tried to push each other off. Many tried but in the end, one defeated all his challengers and stayed on the rife for the longest. We did many more things in the water and soon I felt that I was going to get off and go and bathe before getting some dinner and returning to do some work on the computer. I got out of the water and got my clothing before heading off to clean myself of the river water. When I finished my bath, I was amazed to find my friends still playing in the water.
Meals there were getting better as I was getting used to the food served there. Dinners were the best meals I had at the camp, most likely because I am is hungry after the day’s activities that I just eat anything on the plate. Dinner was followed by my group leader trying her best to finish the power point presentation before the leaders meeting that night. I was there to help my leader in any way I could. After the leaders meeting, I was told that as I was very informed about insects and their interaction with the environment, I was the best person to do the presentation. We were also told that our presentation will be in the morning and every group in the camp will watch us present once in a shift system. We have to present five times to five groups of people and inform them on what we have been doing for the past four days. But after the group talked things over, it was decided that everyone will do the presentation, but I will be first to present to let the others know what to say.
We worked until 1200 in the morning before I went to sleep and get ready for the following day’s presentation.
